FROM 2008 TO 2009...

and now here we are, with 2009 approaching in just a few hours. evan and i are all dressed up and ready to ring in the new year...okay, really we look nothing like that tonight. i am actually still wearing the yoga pants i wore on a walk this morning, and the real plans for tonight involve no sort of dressing up. we have a date to the apple store to pickup my christmas present, to the hospital to visit our favorite nephew, and then home for an evening spent playing rock band!
we already got dressed up earlier this month for evan's work party, so we met our "fancy evening out" quota early this year. on our way to that party i said, "oh, i really hope they have a photographer!" evan rolled his eyes at me, as if to say, "we aren't in college anymore." but i never lost hope. and what do you think the first thing we saw when we arrived was? a real-life photographer set up in a room just like in the days of acu formals, grubs, and mystery matches. who knows i may order a 5x7 from that photographer, put it in a really cool clear box frame, and hang it in the hallway of our house. it always worked well for college decor, why not now too? i think that just might be the first piece of decoration to go up in our new home when we move in next month!
