so far our week has consisted of many hours lounging poolside.
i realize it's a tough life, but somebody's gotta do it so i'm up for the job.

when you look at the last pic you might be thinking, "wow, those mommas are good with their babies asleep in the shade while they lounge at the pool." and yes, i must admit cassie and i thought the exact same thing about ourselves for all of about 10 minutes. that's when the sprinklers came on (because of course 4pm is a perfect time to water all the grass around a pool), the babies got soaked and we got humbled. those poor little munchkins were snoozing away unsuspectingly while lying practically on top of a sprinkler head. as the water started gushing all over them we raced over to scoop up their soaking wet heads and comfort them. we got a good laugh out of the whole thing but obviously the naps were done and it was time to head inside and snuggle up with a baby in my arms. like i said, it's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it.

I can't believe Adelaide has already slept with a boy.
What a fun way to spend the summer!! :)
how much fun! that is hilarious about the sprinkler. something similar happened to my sister and me when our boys were newborns (10 weeks and 3 weeks). we were pushing them in the strollers in austin when it started to rain! we were still quite far from our hotel when the rain turned to a downpour. We covered them as best as we could with the stroller shades and our jackets, but they were soaked to the bone. it is a great memory!
about the nestles, my mom got me a case of it when I was pregnant with Elijah. I LOVE it! I'm not sure where she found it, but I'll ask her.
I am laughing out loud about the sprinklers!!! Where did you get those GREAT baby floats?! Casen needs one to lounge in Leah and Ryan's pool this summer! We WILL be there everyday! :)
so fun! i will never get tired of babies-in-swimsuits pics. :)
How fun! Love the floats that the kiddos are on! Looks like a fun girls day! M
The Houston Swim Club was recommended to me... maybe we can find one and meet in the middle :)
It sure looks like Adelaide is a little water baby too!
I love summer time...especially at the pool!
I just came upon your blog and started reading it, then I came to this post and I just have to ask, where did you get the tent the babies are sleeping under in the last picture? I have a 1 year old and we are getting ready to go to the beach and I really need something like that for her.
