A JOYFUL HOMECOMING...

i am back HOME from the walk. i am so glad i was able to participate in it. the 3-day is an incredible experience for an incredible cause. i thought the hard part was behind me. the fund raising, training, and 3 days of walking are done but now comes the next challenge of trying to put it all into words. i am working on writing the specifics of what each day held. i am doing this because 1) i want to remember so many details of it and 2) to give future participants an idea of what to expect. so that will be coming soon!

and i am not the only one that arrived HOME... mr. witt is here too! he came home from the hospital saturday afternoon while we were in dallas. adelaide got to meet him for the first time and it was love at first sight. she has been spending her days trying to figure out where those sweet whimpers are coming from. she loves to see him and so far she eagerly calls him "jee." i'm trying to make sure he knows this is her highest form of endearment. i got to hold my nephew for the first time yesterday. my love for him already ran deep, but while feeling his soft newborn skin and seeing him up close i realized that adelaide is not the only one madly in love with him.

I am a little late commenting but I want to tell you first how proud I am of you for finishing the walk...your love for the cause...and your sweet friendship to so many!
Next I want to comment on the fannie pack. You can call your fannie pack a waist pack, but when you are my age with 3 children you don't dare put anything extra on your waist, around your waist, or close to your waist. What is a waist?
Love you!
