great post, annalee! a few things...
i had no idea ya'll were moving to houston. fun!
God definitely gives you more love when you have more babies. it's the most incredible feeling ever
kaitlyn is almost 5 and i still go in and check on her every now and then for those "small breaths.."
i love kettle corn
not related to post: i signed K up for swim lessons again with your sweet momma! :)
I love your random thoughts!
#1 Thank you God for normal MRI results!
#2 I'm sorry to tell you that after 2 kids my brain really struggles to work like it did before I had kids!
#3 I'd start AKM out on 5 or 6 oz bottles and not worry if she doesn't take every drop
#4 I'll be praying for you so much on April 7th-what a blessing sweet Adelaide will be cared for by family
#5 I think I'll always sneak into our kiddos' rooms at night and check to make sure they are breathing!
#6 God definitely give you love for each child-I'm still amazed at how I could love A & D so much!
#7 I vote for renting first!
Love you!
Annalee . . . you just make me smile! So . . . tonight I was doing my monthly blog stalking and was looking at Amanda Moore's page and she referenced making Annalee's Meat Cupcakes . . . and I knew there weren't many Annalee's in the world . . . clicked on the link and it was you! She is a friend of mine from college . . . how do you know Amanda? Hope you guys are having a great first weekend with Adelaide and Antique Show!! - - Schmale
Woo, that made me tired! No advice here on the child love thing..i'm sure you get more as you have more kids. I too wonder who Avery looks like! Good luck Monday! Have fun at Antique Show, wish I was there!
Your thought process really is like mine! I hope you had a good night of rest last night and that God guides you in all your decisions. Have a good weekend!
Loved this post! You are so cute! I am interested in hearing more about how you are earning money to do the breast cancer walk (at least I assume that's what you were talking about with 60 miles in 3 days).
PS...I love Kettle Corn too.
I loved reading this post! I felt like we were just sitting on the couch chatting about the random thoughts that run through our brains! Loved it!!!
I LOVED this post. Mostly...we are having such similar thoughts and questions swimming around in our heads...and it's so SO nice knowing someone else understands so much of my life:) Big and small!
I am so thankful that Adelaide's results came back wonderful! That is great news. Also, when you figure out what you're getting Evan, let me know. That one has stumped me for a while:) Hope you are having fun this week!! I will be thinking of you on Monday (and it DOES get easier...even though it won't feel that way Monday morning).
OH yeah...and I love the ounces on our bodies thought:)
I'm sooooo glad you are my kid!!!!! I love you to the sky!
Mom
What a great post! I always have those random thoughts running around in my head too. I can never seem to get them down on "paper" though. Maybe I'll try a similar post soon. I'm glad that your sweet little girl is doing well and that the MRI came back without any problems.
A blog stalker-
Laura
please open the stationary buisness, because i know it would be so cute and then i could buy it from you :)
what a great post! i've been thinking of you this weekend because harrison reminded me last week that you're coming back on monday. the kids have missed you!! and yes, it's amazing how your capacity for love increases with every child. i NEVER thought i could love another child the way i loved lb, in fact i worried endlessly about it while i was pregnant the second time. then, rain came along and i was overwhelmed with love all over again. and i too still check on both of them to make sure they're breathing! have a wonderful weekend and don't worry if you boo-hoo like a baby when you leave akm on monday - we all did it!! :)
annalee...not sure if you remember me or travis...but i read your blog from time to time.
I just had to comment on your "i'd rather go through labor pain again and again than sit through law school day after day"!! Travis is in Law School (finishes in may) and I can TOTALLY identify with you!! I could NEVER sit through Law School.
I can also identify with not wanting to go back to work. I go back the 14th and I am dreading it!! Thankfully my sister and Travis will be able to take care of Owen...but it still breaks my heart!!
Jeri
my favorite post ever! my mind runs wildfire like this, too.
glad the MRI was negativo!
I don't know when a mom stops checking for breaths, but I've done it every day several times a day for more than 2 years.
Kettle corn...mmm, mmm!
Praise God for the MRI results, and future good results on the kidneys. And a good first day back, and a fast 2 months 'til summer!
I love your blogs. adn let me say the memory Keepers daughter is SO GOOD! read with kleenex :)
Loved seeing you at the Antique show it was one of my highlights!!
I am so glad you updated on Adelalide because I was so excited to run in to you both I forgot to ask- sorry!! My brain still works like that I think it is the sign of a Creative and productive person!!Not enough time in the day to do it all sometimes.I will be praying for you Monday it will be alright and you are so lucky for having Grandmothers around they are a true blessing in helping shape a child.
Hey Annalee! It's so good to hear from you. I'll put you as a fav so I keep up with your precious family.
I found your blog and loved reading all about you guys! What a precious girl you have! Girls are so fun! And being a mom is the biggest blessing!
Ooh, this is my thought process in the middle of the night when I can't go back to sleep. I think that most mothers think of those exact same things regularly too!
I'm SOOOO glad AKM's MRI turned out well. Prayers answered.
yes, no, maybe, always and there is always more room in your heart!
Abbe's mom
i love reading your blog. you are so funny and so creative in how you write.
i too wondered if there was ever a way that i could possibly ever love another as much as i love hudson. (see posts from last year). it's the same kind of love times 2! just gets bigger and bigger. and the same thing happens with your second...you wonder how on earth you have lived so long without this child in your life!! 1 is GREAT....2 is even BETTER!!!
AND...luckily the end of school is so so so close!! You'll blink and it'll be the last day!
praying and thinking of you ALLLL day today!
So glad to hear you are moving to houston! Bailey and Adelaide can be friends!
i didn't make it all the way through because the boys are crying, but i would say not to read The Memory Keepers Daughter. I had heard great things about it, but I didn't like it. at all.
Your post made me teary-- so sweet (then again, what doesn't these days??!)! I can relate to all these random thoughts that fly thru my brain all day long. Especially my worries...with my little ones on the way... one room or two? Will I see two heart beats next week? I could go on and on. How awesome it is that God can laugh at our worry and wrap us up in his peace. :)
I was at Antique Show Friday! The weather was soooo yucky-- I'm sure you and Adelaide were inside. I, too, have a LARGE bag of kettle corn... and it's still crunchy. Praying your first day back was good and that your "other kids" brightened your day!
Thinking about you today! My mom and I were wondering how you survived your first day back... Love you!
what a good post. amen on the ounces, i wish i had some clue if we were making progress. avery looks like a womble i'm told. thanks for sharing all you're thinking it is encouraging to know everyone else is wondering too.

I take encouragement in the random thoughts in the affirmation it is not a middle age thing to have popcorn thoughts running through your brain...i especially take encouragement in the reminder that the more love you give..God does multiply and especially in the verse you ended with tonight. Thanks for that focus...Shailey and I join with ya'll in praise over the MRI results..How sweet God is to orchestrate a perfect plan in our lives so far beyond our thought processes...loved spending time with all of you at the Antique Show...counting down with you :)
