my kindergarten classi love valentine's day w.a.m.h. (with all my heart). it hasn't ever been mushy stuff for me, i just geniunely love that there is a special day to remind you of all the love around you and show all your famly and friends some extra kindess. and okay, i'll admit it, i also love yet another reason to make and send homemade cards!
being a teacher means that valentine's is predestined to be a day of celebration even if nothing else is going on in your life. today at school my kids were geared up and so precious about their excitement for our party and all the sugar they got to eat! the party went well and i loved getting to celebrate with them.
we were supposed to have our small group meeting tonight but it got cancelled at the last minute, so now evan and i get to have extra time to hang out which we always love.
my mom always made valentine's day special by cooking some extra yummy dinner, so that's what we are doing. making some hallibut and roasted potatoes for dinner and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. mmm, mmm. then we are off to see the movie music and lyrics.

Happy Late Valentines! I missed having a party with my kids this year. I think that is one of the worst parts about what i am doing. I don't have any fun kids to celebrate the holidays with!

Hey, hope Valentines was great...how was the movie? As I said...I am incredibly blessed that you are Evan's forever Valentines! Did I mention that for someone my age the "word verification" to post a comment is sorta like an eye test! I am never quite sure I get it right...my debate right now is whether there is an "f" or "t"!!!

It was so good to see you today at the shower! And I love your blog! You are right--being a teacher means always celebrating it with candy, valentines, and heart mailboxes. I missed that this year--I'm usually stocking up on conversation hearts Feb. 1st for a V-day school project. But this year, I celebrated with my one, little babyheart, Ava!
