SURPRISE, SURPRISE (PART TWO)...

just when i thought the SURPRISE party couldn't get any more fun,

i walked through the den and into the kitchen.

if the first SURPRISE caught me completely off guard this one knocked me out.

standing in the back of the kitchen i saw two faces grinning at me.

kristin and rubey.

i love every chance to see these faces,
but because they live in austin and kansas city it doesn't happen on just any day.

and there was a bonus SURPRISE face too.
a grinning punkin head, baby amelia, made the trip from kc as well.

i don't remember if i squealed or even hugged them.

i just kept looking back and forth between their faces trying to decide if this was real.

and thanks to wonderful planning (and evan's best birthday gift ever) it was.

we ate at chuy's like old times
(and introduced amelia to its goodness for the first time).

we stayed up late talking and laughing.
we soaked up every minute of the weekend with two old friends and one new little bestie.

adelaide has declared amelia her pretend sister

and i have given her the award of smile of the year.

i am so thankful for this SURPRISE and these precious friendships.
