our family isn't necessarily known for saying things correctly.
for starters, the title of my blog came from one of my many blunders.
i thought the saying was "going out on a whim."
(which i still say has a much better ring to it than "going out on a limb.")
no matter how hard i try to say it the right way,
i can't ever remember if it's "case in point" or "point in case"
so i just alternate between the two.
i never know, are you supposed to say gala "gayla" or "gahla"?
awhile ago evan asked me, "who is mr. gordon?"
i assured him i didn't know any mr. gordon.
he continued to press me though and asked, "well then who is mr. gordon's son?"
it was then i realized he was referencing the classic kid song that has played 1000 times in our car.
it turns out he was actually speaking about "mr. golden sun."
it seems our kids have their own way of saying things too.
you might call this a romper.
adelaide calls it her "dress with legs."
you might think this is a pretend bottle of mustard,
however graham is certain it is a nasal aspirator.
(and immediately attempts to suck his own boogers using it whenever he sees it.)
you might refer to this toy as a frisbee,
but adelaide insists that it is a "crispy."
tomato, tomahto. potato, potahto.
we don't care what you say, just say it with a smile.

Cute post!! :)
The romper is ADORABLE on her! :)
And you may say SHAMU whale but we say SHAMPOO whale...
But I think "Mr. Gordon's Son" might be one of my favorites... that song will never be the same. HA
Hee!
What a cute post!

You always make me smile and laugh, Annalee. And sometimes cry...but it's always a happy cry. :) Have a great week with your sweeties.
So cute!
My kids and their friends sat around the table discussing "round yon virgin" one Sunday- ages 4-7 years: hysterical!
"gayla"
Love it! Your little munchkins get cuter and cuter and more grown up every time I see them. Tell them to stop growing! :)
"Oh, Mr. Son, son, Mr. Gordon's Son
Please shine down on me..." It will never be the same again. :)
I love this - my mom mixes up her metaphors all the time - she will say things like "you need to wake up and smell the roses!" or "you are walking on thin ground."
I love it - and this is so cute!
Well, the dress with legs is so cute! Love it! ;-)
