when you were 1 WEEK OLD, you slept most of the time. you liked to snuggle up in anyone's lap, your swing, or bounce chair. you had light brown hair and gray blue eyes. grammy sherri stayed with us and let us get some sleep.

when you were 2 1/2 WEEKS OLD, it was your original due date. we were so glad we had already been holding you many days. you were becoming a little more alert and were almost rid of jaundice. grandma chic helped us lots.

when you were 1 MONTH OLD, you were trying to take in the world around you. you would open your little eyes and stare at your surroundings, especially lights. you had just celebrated your first christmas and new year. you were such an easy-going, sweet baby.

when you were 2 MONTHS OLD, your clogged tear ducts reached their worst and you got baby acne and cradle cap. we also found out you have a slight heart murmur. poor buddy! we got to take you on your first trip to abilene and were showered with love by lots of family and friends. we started going on walks and loved being outside together.

when you were 3 MONTHS OLD, you were in winter park, co. you rode on an airplane there to celebrate your momma turning 30. you rolled from your tummy to back quite well. your smiles and laughs were seen and heard often now and your sweet little personality was really beginning to show.

when you were 4 MONTHS OLD, you were in warrenton for your first antique show. you charmed us all with your oohs and aahs and sweet baby talk. your face truly lit up the room. you took your first bath in the big bathtub and kicked happily the whole time. you also loved to spread out on the floor and play.

when you were 5 MONTHS OLD, you celebrated your first easter with all four of your grandparents. you had further heart testing done and we rejoiced with the news that your heart murmur disappeared or is now completely functional! you tried your first bites of rice cereal and were indifferent. you often giggled at your sister, your toys, and your dad and me too. we love that sound sooo much!

when you were 6 MONTHS OLD, you were a rolling/smiling/ grabbing/drooling machine. during this month you met leighton, swam for the first time, attended graduation parties, vacationed at disney world for a week, and tasted several new foods. you continue to spend the majority of your time being an all-around happy baby.

when you were 7 MONTHS OLD, you went to kansas city, vacation bible school, and galveston. you had a slight case of croup.  you decided to refuse the bottle.  you started eating more and more baby foods. you decided to always sleep on your tummy with that sweet thumb still in your mouth. you grew your first two teeth.

when you were 8 MONTHS OLD, you swam so many times we lost count.  you celebrated the fourth of july in brownwood.  you went to sea world and loved looking at the fish in the aquariums.  you did not like sitting in the splash zone and when shamu got you wet. you began to babble and make the cutest boy baby noises we had ever heard.  you squealed anytime your saw your sister.

when you were 9 MONTHS OLD, you went to abilene and warrenton. you loved to eat more than ever.  we said you grazed because you would hang out in your highchair such long periods of time.  you began to reach for things and made attempts to move on your belly (army crawl). you grow another tooth and said your first two words- mamama and dadada.

when you were 10 MONTHS OLD, you had four teeth, waved with your hand in a fist, loved smacking your lips, clicked your tongue often, and giggled uncontrollably when berkeley licked your fingers. you spent a week at antique show. you visited the doctor several times due to two ear infections, a scary dirty diaper, and flu shots. you began to pivot in all directions while on your belly and attempted to pull up (with assistance) on the coffee table.

when you were 11 MONTHS OLD, you loved going to music class, playing with bubbles, and swinging.  you went to sea world again and dressed up like woody from toy story for halloween.  you saw your first play, winnie the pooh, and loved the lights and action.  you still giggled the loudest at your sister.  you pointed your finger intently at things.  you learned to throw fits when you don't get your way. you traveled to warrenton, austin, and abilene over thanksgiving.

now you are 1 YEAR OLD, you say momma, dada, hi, bye, ah (adelaide), buh (berkeley), bah (ball), muh (more or milk), and papapapa (poppa). you know how to nod your head yes or no, growl like a lion and maa like a goat. you have six teeth and an adorable grin. you love to point, be held, rock, play peek-a-boo, look in mirrors, any kind of ball, and eat bananas. you love life.

oh how we love you! and that will continue forever and ever.
