...BUT AT LEAST IT SMELLS GOOD!
last week i made snickerdoodles with adelaide.
i love the smell of cinnamony goodness
that lingers after these cookies have been made.
after being out-of-town,
it had been way too many days since we went to the grocery store.
this is unheard of.
i'm ridiculously regimented about going to heb on the same day every week.
what can i say, i like a routine.
probably a little too much.
i used to do laundry every monday and thursday like clockwork.
then i would fold it and put it away the same day.
but now loads of laundry happen much more than that,
and get folded and put away much less.
see how much more laid back i've become? haha.
anyway, i'm embarrassed to tell of the things we ate last week.
every night the joke became for ev to try to guess what was missing from each recipe.
but somehow we always have all the ingredients needed to make cookies.
it's funny how that works out.
so adelaide and i set out to make snickerdoodles.
and make snickerdoodles we did.
we gave some to our favorite little buddy's family,
and had plans to take them to our music class' picnic as well.
too bad i left those in the garage.
and didn't realize until we arrived at our destination.
oh well,
we have never complained about having to come home
we have never complained about having to come home
to eat dozens of cookies ourselves!
and trust me when i say you won't mind eating them too.
this is one of my favorite tried and true recipes, enjoy!

We LOVE snickerdoodles but I haven't made them in years. You've inspired me to break out the cinnamon and sugar!
Man I made chocolate chipe cookies yesterday but man those look YUMMY ;)
I have been wishing I had a great Snickerdoodle recipe! My Nana is such a fabulous baker and she brings her baked treasures EVERY time she and my Pa come to Abilene. Thanks so much for somehow hearing my pleas for the recipe. I must admit that chocolate chip cookies is one of my dessert weaknesses.
I love snickerdoodles, but have never made them. I might have to now!
