A is for...

...ALL DONE!adelaide went to her LAST physical therapy session this week.
is it normal to cry more when it is over than when you find out it needs to begin?
because that is exactly what i did. it felt like her very first graduation, and i am just so proud of miss priss!
we were incredibly blessed to have a therapist that was...
patient with adelaide (and patient with all our questions too)
shared our concerns and joys
lovingly encouraged her to move forward from exactly where she was
set realistic goals and expectations
celebrated each and every milestone along the way

in the beginning, it wasn't always easy. but then again what part of parenting ever is?
in four months of physical therapy our scooting machine, learned to...
go from lying down to sitting up
transition from sitting on her bottom to her knees
pull herself up to standing position
squat independently
squat and pick things up
take steps while holding onto furniture
walk all on her own
walk up and down ramps
and is now working on going up and down stairs!
adelaide,
we are so thankful for the gift of being your parents.
i love watching how each time you fall, you proudly get up again.
and anytime you need a helping hand you know we are here!
we love you.

So proud! Pray for us because I think Ava is going to have to start going again because eating the baby foods is hard for her! Thanks!

Congratulations! That is such an important and exciting moment! My son just had his "graduation" from PT as well, and I was a complete crying, sobbing mess. :) I'm sure it was a scary and time-consuming process, but now you get to see that it was all worth it!

Congratulations Adelaide!! This comment is good for ONE trip to eat ice cream with your friend Caroline. We need to celebrate in true style eating "cream"! :) We love you precious one!
