...COOKING MACARONI AND CHEESE BY THE LIGHT OF A HEADLAMP?!

yes, it's true. the old man of our house (who turns all of 26 this week)
joined the ranks of those who proudly wear "dad gear."
tonight, when the power went out throughout houston
evan kept our house illuminated with his trusty headlamp for over an hour and a half.
before he got home adelaide, berkeley, and i were confined to the closet for safety.
we read books by a tiny beam of light that shone from the one wimpy flashlight i found.
upon the old man's return we found out the tornado warning had been lifted,
we were free to move about our dark house once again,
and super dad made dinner without any electricity.

NOTHING LIKE A LITTLE MONDAY NIGHT ADVENTURE.
