I love it girl!! Happy Birthday!
And, was the movie good? i hear it could have been done so much better...but I love the book (and sort of kind of live by it) ;)
If you need some help attaining your goal, you know who to call! Chris and I have been wanting to try the Ragin Cajun if it is the same one you are talking about (on Montrose)?
And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Ruggles. Let's meet up for a girly lunch there sometime!
Looks like you had quite the feast!
Happy Birthday just a little late! Looks like it was lots of fun! Have you been to the rodeo yet? We took the kids this morning and it was so fun!!
good way to change up the birthday resolutions a bit. i like it.
I wholeheartedly agree with your list but you REALLY need to hit the original Ninfa's on Navigation and Irma's...2 Houston institutions that are worthy of their reputation!!! And, you need to go to the new restaurant at the site of the original Rainbow Lodge...unbelievably GORGEOUS...from the art to the lighting to the grounds...prettiest in Houston, by far!!! And, let me know when you're ready to work on the top 40 DIVES!!! Love you...
It sounds like the McCords had a wonderful birthday weekend! I hope you had a wonderful birthday because you are one spectacular and precious person, Annalee! BTW, I LOVE Adelaide's pigtails. They are just adorable!
It looks like you did a good job celebrating and I LOVE your birthday resolution...fabulous idea! That chocolate bar sounds heavenly!!!
LOVE it!! I can totally get on board with a goal pretaining to food/restaurants. I support you 100%!
And all the pictures are TOO cute. Adelaide in pigtails bout did me in. What a doll!!
Yum - I wish I could be inhaling some chocolate with ya! :) Love Adelaide's pigtails! At the rate Carolina's hair is growing, she might be five before she gets pigtails! ha! Happy Birthday again!
I'm on the verge of being 29 and it's hard to believe at times! That french toast looks amazing!! Sounds like y'all had a great time!
Barnaby's Cafe is GREAT!!!! If you like meatloaf try the Doctor Gale's Meatloaf plate it's wonderful. Reading your post made me very veryyyy hungry...thanks for sharing!
LOVE Adelaide's pigtails!!!! (And all the teeth, we just broke #3 over here). Looks like you had a great birthday. I fully support this food resolution. Excellent idea!
OH!!!! Ruggles in The Galleria is the best (there are different locations) and we hit up Skeeters about twice a week here in The Woodlands. It is very family friendly!! I just turned 30 in January. This is a very cute idea. :)
Le Peep is awesome! I love it, but beware that they are only open until 2pm. Also, Ragin Cajun is very good. When you go to Rainbow Lodge, be ready for some gamey food. They have stuff like Buffalo. We have only eaten dessert there. You are making me hungry thinking about all of these places!
Happy late birthday to you!!!! one more for your list: My FAV restaurant in Houston... Ninos! Oh it's delicious. We even had our rehearsal dinner there!
Your birthday celebration(s) sound great! Ummm...how about we try to knock out some of your list this weekend?? :)
I just found your blog and I love it! i'm about to be 29 next month and I absolutely love your idea of 30 before 30 :) I'm in Austin and there is SOOOO much to do here that I have yet to experience since moving, you've inspired me :)
this is a neat idea! i don't think i have time to hit up 31 new places before i turn 31 in july, but it might be worth a try! adelaide's pigtails are precious. claire's hair is long enough, but i can't keep her still long enough to do it! hope you had a happy birthday.
We love everything Goode, so you can't go wrong with any of those choices! Rajun Cajun is also a huge favorite - best red beans & rice, hands down. Ruggles and Rainbow Room are incredible, too. I have to second Cheryl's recommendation that you try Ninfa's on Navigation. And I agree with Amy that Nino's (or Vincent's) is a must try! Have fun - this will definitely be a yummy year. :)
I am really hungry after all those yummy pictures! Happy birthday!
Thank you for this! Since I didn't grow up in Houston, I am always looking for new, cool, non-chain restaurants to try. Hope your birthday was fabulous- enjoy your last year of the twenties!
Sounds like you had a great birthday week. I love your birthday resolution!
Happy Birthday! Sounds like a FABULOUS weekend!!! We always go to Buffalo Grille when we come in town!
Happy Birthday!! That french toast looks amazing! It's not my birthday, but now that I'm pregnant I'm totally pulling the "I'm pregnant so I must have what I want" card too! ;)
Happy Late Birthday you leap girl! We loved all of the yummy places to eat when we lived in the Katy/Houston area. Los Cucos was right down the street from us and we ate there all the time. I am having a brain freeze right now, but I will try to think of some more places for you to eat. Your list looks great though!!
Love you and your precious family!
~Steph
don't know how to spell it, so here goes, it will look like a bad word but it is REALLY good...
FoCo De Chow. that is how it sounds, only been there a few times, I will look it up but really good eating for a special occasion.
I found our blog through someone else and have no idea who it was. LOL!!
I saw you were from Houston and thought I would just read some more. LOL!!
I see that you LOVE food, and saw the list Houston Restaurants you want to visit. I could not keep my trap shut! LOL
When you go to LePeep go for Breakfast!! OMG they have the best Grits of anyone in Houston! All their breakfast foods are GREAT actually!! I have never eaten there for lunch or dinner though!
As far as Cleburne's Cafeteria! Well do not go when you are really Hungry!
Rainbow Lodge is AWESOME, but take a lot of money with you!
If you live near Westhiemer area and have never been to Papa's Burgers I HIGHLY recommend them to add to your list for next year! LOL!!
Sorry but that is all I can add for now!!
Thanks,
Sheila
gosh! this makes me miss H-town SOOOO much! best places to eat EVER! joe and i lived there for 5 years and LOOOOOVED it! (dallas/fort worth is not even close!)
Mi Luna is great and Skeeter's is a bit greasy. A real treat is Perry's in the back of The Woodlands. So amazing, you'll never ever need to go anywhere else!
What a fun blog and a cute little princess!
you did it! :)
not sure if you've ever been here, but if not, be sure to check out spaghetti western - best pizza in my opinion! :) and very nearby!
