i am overwhelmed with emotions today. i have wondered when it will really sink in that this beautiful baby was given to us to raise. i have asked myself countless times am i doing enough for her, am i patient enough with her, am i selfless enough for her, and on and on and on.
i like to do everything in life as perfectly as possible, but i’m not able to do this perfectly. i’m quickly learning that’s okay. i tried to prepare ahead of time for being a mom, but let’s face it the best lessons of all happen as you go along. what a humbling yet proud, exhausting yet exhilarating experience each day of this journey is.
i am so thankful God made
and now more than ever i am thankful for the way my mom sacrificed for me, lovingly taught me, and loves me unconditionally. she used to say, "i hope someday you get to be a mommy so you can understand how much i love you." well mom, now i get it!

Happy Mommy's Day!!
Adelaide made you a mom? I take issue with that.
HMD.
Happy MDAY! It is funny because part of the message at church this morning was a mom talking about how she's not "perfect" and how that has always been a mom-struggle for her...then it is here from you....and I am pretty sure that God is speaking to me saying...Shauna...you dont have to be perfect..I am perfect. :) Love ya!
So sweet! Happy 1st Mother's Day!!!

Very sweet! Happy Mother's Day to you, Annalee! Also, it was really great seeing you last month at Warrenton...Adelaide is even more beautiful in person and you look great! Take care, Megan
Happy Birthday, Ms. Annalee.
My favorite part of this photo is the poor woman lounging in the background on the phone! :)
Gotta love getting caught in the background.
All you said it so true. Beautifully put. Love Adelaide's suit...Ava is getting ready to put her's on as well!
I am teared up reading. "Children are a blessing from the Lord, a rich heritage from Him." When I think of that verse, the blessing is more than the child itself. It is what the child makes us become. You are a great mama and I love that now you understand how much your mama loves you. I pray adelaide will one day understand that herself. And my children as well. Great Post. Love you, M
Happy Mother's Day!
